About Me

I am a senior research scientist at Deutsche Telekom Inc., R&D Lab in Los Altos, CA. I am leading several exciting projects in the area of services and mobile platforms.

What's New?

I am looking for strong candidates who are interested in Internship in our lab (spring, summer, or fall semester). Special attention goes to candidates who have strong background in mobile sensing, location-based services, and wireless systems (e.g., WiFi, mesh, cognitive radio networks). If you are interested in, please send me your CV.

Research Interest

My research interests lie in the areas of mobile computing and wireless networks . In particular, I am interested in mobile systems, distributed and embedded systems, and wireless systems, with emphasis on performance, Quality-of-Service (QoS), energy efficiency, and data privacy.

Selected Projects

  • Robot-based Wireless Systems
Designed and developed mobile wireless router systems that autonomously identify the best signal reception position to (re-)form multi-hop relay networks (2007-2009).
  • Self-Managing Wireless Mesh Networks
Developed localized self-reconfiguring algorithms for a multi-radio WMN to efficiently monitor link condition and to autonomously recover from wireless link failures (2005-2008).
  • Mobile Systems with Heterogeneous Wireless Interfaces
Developed a proxy-based inverse-multiplexer that enables bandwidth aggregation across heterogeneous wireless interfaces of a mobile host (2002-2004).
